Lavender Hill Farm invites visitors of all ages to explore the sight, scent, and taste of lavender at a Certified Naturally Grown farm. The largest lavender farm in Michigan, and home to 29 varieties of lavender, Italian honeybees, and a restored century old barn. Great gift shop. Last time we went they had fields of sunflowers, as well!

You may be surprised how much you enjoy this place, and it's just up the road! The original hatchery opened in 1920, but was replaced by a brand-new facility in 2002 and is one of the most advanced locations of its kind. Oden rears brown trout and rainbow trout for both inland and Great Lakes waters.

 

There are some lovely walking trails on site.

A block away after crossing West Conway Road at the light. Walk or bike either direction for beautiful scenery and exercise. The trail connects to The Wheelway, which travels to Petoskey (or Harbor Springs) and follows the Lake to Charlevoix.

Guests ride the historic Hemlock Scenic Chairlift to the mountain’s top, then venture out along the exhilarating 1,200-foot long and 118-foot high pedestrian bridge. World's Longest Timber-Towered Suspension Bridge.
